If you have ever had a notion of making a short film, a historical documentary or a music video, then the Film Hub is for you. It is for those interested in writing or acting or learning about the equipment or being behind the camera and shouting ‘Action!’. It is for everyone in the community
The Film Hub is based in Cobh Youth Services building, and consists of professional standard film making equipment including cameras, lighting, sound, editing suite of computer and software. It was set it up with funding from SECAD over 2 years ago to promote the arts and specifically film making in Cobh. So far we have had approximately 20 members, various film projects have been completed and last autumn we ran a training programme to provide members with skills. There are people who are beginners and people who have experience so no matter what your level, if you have an interest, then get involved.
If you would like to get involved or just find out more information please get in touch by email to cysmanager@eircom.net or call 0863495422
