You might have heard that we are running our *“Let’s Talk” Week from 28th September to 3rd October* to promote mental health for one entire week across the entire community.

With a number of FREE EVENTS for the entire community we are delighted to announce:

*Mon 28th Sept – Free Coffee Morning for the over 55’s* 11am to 12.30pm at Cobh Community Centre and in partnership with Cobh S.W.E.L.S Active Retirement Group. Come along for a cuppa and cake with the opportunity to chat to your local community in the welcoming surrounds of the Community Centre

*Mon 28th Sept – Free Alternative Therapies Evening* 4pm to 10pm at Cobh Family Resource Centre. Appointments are booking up fast so to avail of your FREE treatment email btscobh.events@gmail.com treatments include Indian Head Massage, IET, Reflexology, Pranic Healing, Osteopathy, Rahanni, Seichem, Reiki & Access Bar Treatments – any donations received will be donated to the Syrian Refugee Fund

*Tuesday 29th Sept – Free Exercise Classes at Coral Leisure Centre* – Spinning at 6.15pm, Yoga at 7pm and Pilates at 8.15pm to book please ring Coral Leisure Centre on 021 4201696

*Wed 30th Sept – Free Safe Talk Suicide Prevention Training*, 6.15pm at Cobh Community Centre, to book your place email courses.bts@gmail.com

*Thurs 1st Oct – Free Talks on Overcoming Depression (with RTE Featured Stan Notte) and Coping with the Change from 2nd to 3rd Level Education (for students and parents)* with Helen Prendergast former Programme Manager of the award winning practical student life skills programme “Life Matters”. Evening will be *introduced by GAA Superstars Graham Canty & Alan Quirke*, 7pm at Cobh Community Centre.

*Sat 3rd Oct – Free Mindful Parenting Workshop* with the leading authors of #100HappyDays4Kids and founders of Sugru Contextual Play Therapy, Arlene Naughten & Lorraine Lynch. 11am to 12.30pm at Cobh Community Centre *plus FREE Arts & Crafts with Storytelling for the kids* while the parenting workshop is going on.

*Sat 3rd Oct – 80’s Themed Fancy Dress Disco *at Cobh’s Ballynoe Inn from 9pm to celebrate the Let’s Talk Week. Prizes for best Fancy Dress and Fancy Dress is optional! Donations received will also go towards the Low Cost Counselling Service provided by Cobh Family Resource Centre.
