Facility & Grounds Maintenance Vacancy

We have a vacancy for a Facility and Grounds Maintenance person to work as part of the Engineering Team. This is a full time position and will involve participation in 24/7 on call rota.

Duties will include:

Maintenance and upkeep of all heavy machinery on site
Maintenance and upkeep of all mechanical systems on site
Routine checks on mechanical systems
Day to day grounds upkeep, repair, painting and power cleaning
Landscaping and grass cutting
Working with engineering team to ensure preparation of grounds for new installations
Qualifications/Skills

Experience and/or knowledge of the following is required:

Proven track record in general upkeep and/or maintenance
Sound and demonstrable mechanical and machine knowledge
Basic electrical knowledge
Additional Requirements

A flexible attitude is essential, with a can-do attitude across all NSC systems
A willingness to work either outdoors or indoors as required
Ability to work in a small team is essential
Good person to person communication skills required
Own transport required
Willingness to take part in 24/7 on call rota.

Network Technician Vacancy

We have a vacancy for a Network Technician to work as part of the Engineering Team. This is a supporting role assisting the Network Administrator.

Duties will include:

Working with Network Administrator to provide technical support to ensure contract delivery
Assisting with IT Support for IP network, satellite gateway earth stations and RF network
Support for provision of in-house & 3rd party hardware & software support
Ongoing network surveillance, troubleshooting, resolving/restoring and break/fix activities
Working as part of Engineering team to support implementation and testing of new services during maintenance activities
Performance and documentation of Weekly, Monthly and Annual checks for all active systems
Routine software and storage back-ups including regular test back-up checks
Participation in day to day aspects of Gateway Operations a required
Escalation and emergency response participation in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment
Qualifications/Skills

Relevant third level or professional qualification an advantage. Experience and/or knowledge of no less than 2 of the following is required:

VM Ware
CISCO network systems
IT systems
Programming including Java, Python, C, HTTP
Telecommunications Systems
Satellite Communications Systems
Additional Requirements
