Australia Day in Cobh is organised by Cobh Tourism to celebrate the arrival of a Cruise ship full of Australians and Kiwi’s on a 105 night world cruise from Sydney to Sydney.

The Sea Princess left Sydney on 15th May and will arrive in Cobh on Monday 11th July, mid way through a voyage that will visit 36 ports.

Cobh has become a highlight of this now annual cruise because of the welcome received and the effort made to provide an experience different to any other port visited.

None stop entertainment, Market Stalls, a “Blessing of the Bonnets” ceremony in honour of all convict women transported to Australia, quirky Australian themed shop displays and a musical sendoff from the Quayside with Cobh Confraternity Band all contribute to a great day in Cobh.

Cobh Tourism is asking all premises to dress their windows for the occasion. It doesn’t matter if this year’s window display is similar to past windows – the 2000 new passengers on this year’s cruise of a lifetime will appreciate your efforts and will not have seen anything like it before!
