Belgian 800m Olympic athlete Pieter Sisk’s Grandad a Cobh native

Still great local interest in the Paris Olympics but did you know that Belgian athlete Pieter Sisk who competes in the Men’s 800m race at 10.50am on Wednesday 7th August is the Grandson of Cobh native Brian Sisk. Pictured are Pieter (second from left), Belgian team mates and his coach Ivo Hendrix (on the left). Pieter runs two heats tomorrow.
