1 vacancy for an Assistant Youth Worker – Cobh Youth Services

 If you wish to pursue a career in Youth Work/Childcare, this position is the role for you.

You will be given the opportunity to complete a Diploma in Youth & Community Work in UCC or other training that is of interest to you, while gaining experience working with children and young people.

 Duties include after school activities, homework club, youth café, outdoor activities, child protection issues.

1 vacancy for a Caretaker – Ballymore Graveyard

Responsible for the overall presentation, maintenance and appearance of the cemetery which includes:

Grass cutting, Strimming, Weeding, Leaf Collection, Edging.

General upkeep of the graves and keep pathways weed and litter free.

Maintain lawn equipment and schedule repairs when necessary.

Work individually or as part of a team and follow instructions when necessary.

General Maintenance and Repairs in Ballymore Church.

1 vacancy for a Caretaker – St. Colman’s Cemetery

Responsible for the overall presentation, maintenance and appearance of the cemetery which includes:

Grass cutting, strimming, weeding, seeding, fertilizing, operating earth moving and lawn care equipment and cemetery clean up.

Maintain lawn equipment and schedule repairs when necessary.

Work individually or as part of a team and follow instructions when necessary.

General maintenance and repairs in the Parish

Painting and decorating

1 vacancy for a Secretary – Cobh Parish Office

Duties include customer service, reception duties to include filing, photocopying, shredding, scanning documents.

Basic computer skills are required to include word processing, email etc

Attention to detail is essential for this role.

1 vacancy for a Resource Receptionist

Duties include greeting members of the public, directing enquiries to the relevant staff member, message taking, telephone techniques,

recording bookings accurately, shredding, photocopying and other administration duties as requested by the Manager.

Eligibility to participate in Community Employment is generally linked to those who are 21 years of age and over and are in receipt of an Irish Social Welfare payment for 52 weeks or more.

If you are over 50 years old and in receipt of an Irish Social Welfare payment or sign for credited contributions, or a combination of both, for 52 weeks or more you may be eligible for Community Employment also.
