Cobh Supernatural InvestigatorsCulture Night is an annual, all-island festival that takes place each year on the third Friday of September. In 2023, Culture Night occurs on Friday, 22 September, and features various events in multiple venues.

SIRIUS presents two events exploring the connection between music, history, landscape, and the elements: a performance by Lewis Barfoot and an after-dark paranormal tour of the SIRIUS building by Cobh Supernatural Investigators.

Lewis Barfoot

Lewis Barfoot is an Irish/English singer-songwriter based in County Cork. She blends ethereal, evocative vocals with original compositions and reinventions of traditional songs. Barfoot and her band present a unique musical promenade across the galleries and other areas of the SIRIUS building. Barfoot’s 2021 debut album, Glenaphuca, released in 2021, received great support from RTÉ 1, FRUK, BBC Radio Ulster and RTÉ na Gaeltachta. Her new album, HOME, partly written while in residency at SIRIUS, is set for release on 17 November 2023, and welcomes rivulets of jazz to her folk palette.

Paranormal Investigation by Cobh Supernatural Investigators

Cobh Supernatural Investigators is a team of paranormal explorers based on Great Island, County Cork. They conduct a unique night-time enquiry into the SIRIUS building, including public and back-of-house areas. They employ various techniques and devices to gather information, learning about unexplained occurrences, past and present, on the site.
