MUSIC: SIRIUS Sessions 2025

SIRIUS presents a series of concerts throughout 2025 featuring an eclectic mix of musicians from both Cork County and City, as well as other regions of Ireland. They include Zoé Basha, James Keegan, James J. Clarke, The Quiet Club, Sarah Hickey, M’ADAM, Diveboy, and Trio, among others. This concert series showcases the richness and variety of music produced in Cork County and City, as well as the rest of the country. All concerts are ticketed. All tickets are non-refundable. Booking via Eventbrite is recommended (general link: https://www.eventbrite.ie/o/sirius-arts-centre-31770035337). Tickets may also be purchased at the SIRIUS reception before each performance, depending on availability. Accessibility Note Our building has accessibility limitations. There are three steps to the front door and a temporary wheelchair ramp is available upon request. Our toilets are accessed via stairs and are not open to visitors. Public toilets are beside the Titanic Experience, by The Promenade. |

Zoé Basha Friday, 18 April 8pm (doors: 7.45 pm) Ticket price: €15 + €0.60 processing fees Booking via Zoé Basha’s website (link: https://buff.ly/KOre0Qg) Zoé Basha is a musician, composer, and carpenter based in Dublin. She explores identity, grief, societal norms, and human connection in her songwriting. Her debut album, Gamble, is a collection of songs that blend folk, blues, Americana, jazz, and Irish traditional influences. James Keegan Friday, 6 June 8pm (doors: 7.45pm) Tickets: €15.00 James Keegan is a musician based in Cork. He performs solo and as a member of the band Fire and Water. He his known for his distinctive folk-pop aesthetics. His upcoming EP, Teaching Our Teachers, features a selection of soulful melodies with captivating storytelling. James J. Clarke Saturday, 7 June 8pm (doors: 7.45pm) Tickets: €15.00 James J. Clarke is a musician from County Meath. As a former member of The Ambience Affair and Divan, he has been releasing critically acclaimed records and touring extensively for over a decade. His debut album Hard Work, written and recorded at home while living alone during COVID-19, deals with the loss of a parent. |

The Quiet Club Saturday, 28 June 8pm (doors: 7.45 pm) Ticket price: €12.50 The Quiet Club is formed by Cork-based artists Danny McCarthy and Mick O’Shea. They perform a mix of experimental music using various improvised instruments. They often collaborate with other artists to create new and alternative sound experiences. They showcase site-specific and responsive works all over Cork County, nationally and internationally. M’ADAM Saturday, 19 July 8pm (doors: 7.45pm) Tickets: €15.00 M’ADAM is a musician based in Cork. M’ADAM’s music weaves a tapestry of melancholy, nostalgia, and introspection blending folk rock and indie styles. M’ADAM’s tracks evoke the feeling of a quiet, reflective moment. M’ADAM’s debut album, Horse Food Budget 1984, was successfully launched in 2023, and their second album is upcoming in 2025. Sarah Hickey Saturday, 30 August 8pm (doors: 7.45pm) Tickets: €15.00 Sarah Hickey is a musician based in Cork. Her music is ethereal yet earthy in a blend of folk with pop-like twists. She has been crafting and developing her songs in the recording studio this past year and has just released her debut album, Fastener. Sarah played in SIRIUS for the second time in March of last year. |

Diveboy Friday, 19 December 8pm (doors: 7.45pm) Tickets: €20.00 Diveboy is a band based in Cork. The three-piece comprises Tony O’Donovan, Peter Piggott – both from Cobh – and Cian Doherty, from Clare. They were originally named ‘The Burma’, after The Burma Steps in Cobh, but undertook a rebranding journey in early 2025. They attribute their sound to influences of indie scenes in the United States and the United Kingdom from the 1980s to the early 2000s. Trio Saturday, 20 December 8pm (doors: 7.45pm) Tickets: €17.50 Caroline Fraher and Dominic Finn are musicians based in Cork. With their former Trio member, John Daly, they have been presenting an eclectic mix of Christmas renditions and other popular songs at SIRIUS and beyond year after year. On this occasion, they share stories, sing and play a selection of their favourite Trio repertoire. |
