Thanks to all the players who took part in the Rushbrooke/Lakewood friendly last night.A special thank you to our Lakewood visitors who made the effort to travel. A great night of tennis and a few social drinks afterwards.Well done to Rushbrooke who were absolutely brilliant on their way to victory (nothing to do with the double amount of Rushbrooke players!!!!!!).Thanks to all and see you all next year.
Congratulations to Aisling O Riordan on being awarded the Regina Mc Donnell Memorial award for 2012.Aisling is one of the clubs most talented young players and her dedication and hard work to her tennis and her commitment to representing her club are a fine example for all our younger players to look up to and follow.Well done Aisling.
Thanks to all who attended the recent AGM.There was a good turnout and a lot of positive talk and ideas. It is safe to say that it was a very tough year for Eamonn and the committee.I think all in attendance after the addresses could see that in a very tough climate a major effort was made by all in the committee last year.Going forward it is vital that all members become active in all events scheduled for the coming year within in the club.Anybody with any ideas regarding fundraising ideas, tennis activities or people that want to become involved within the club, please contact Eamonn or any committee member.Rob Leahy our new director of tennis will have lots of new ideas for the club coming on stream in the next month and again we need all members to support these in a very positive way.As always all queries and views regarding any aspect of the club are welcome so please do get in touch with the relevant people at any time.
