Wellness Retreats at Fota Island Spa — the perfect treat for groups of all kinds
Fota Island Spa is the award-winning spa at Fota Island Resort, the five-star resort tucked into its own private island outside Cork city.
Wellness Retreats at Fota Island Spa are designed for any group of over 10 participants, and take place from Monday to Friday, ideal for groups of friends, extended family get-togethers, yoga or wellness communities, or great for team-building.
Each Wellness Retreat at Fota Island Spa includes an hour’s access to the world-class Thermal Suite, with its large indoor heated swimming pool, relaxation area, and Hydrotherapy Suite with a ‘walking river’ of water currents and reflexology to invigorate the senses. The Thermal Suite includes a Hammam and heated mosaic loungers, perfect for relaxation.
Wellness Retreats also include a 30-minute treatment of your choice — a taster facial, sea salt hydrotherapy bath, mini Thai foot massage, mini Indian head massage, or spiced mud bath. The treatments are followed by a 30-minute stretching, yoga or salsa class in the serene spa area, with delicious canapés and refreshing non-alcoholic beverages served afterwards. There is also the option of a deeply relaxing floating sound bath meditation session in the tranquil pool.
Lasting 3-5 hours, depending on group size, Wellness Retreats at Fota Island Spa are available for groups of 10 or more, from Monday to Friday, from €150 per person.
A new spa dining menu has just been introduced too, that all spa guests can enjoy post-treatment in a pretty dining area overlooking Fota’s lush woodlands. With a smart selection of dips and salads, sharing platters and sandwiches, spa dining is available every day from 12-6pm. Have a late lunch or an afternoon treat with a glass of wine or prosecco in your robe when your treatment is over, and add another layer of pleasure to your Fota Island Spa day.
