Cobh Community Paintathon
On Good Friday and Holy Saturday (2nd and 3rd April) the people of Cobh are being encouraged to come out as a community and paint in aid of two worthy local charities. Between 10am and 4pm on both days the plan is that people will come along to Harbour Row and paint some of the railings there for at least a half an hour. The railings have been prepared for painting by Cobh Tidy Towns committee and some volunteers and Black Hammerite, brushes and disposable gloves will be provided. As well as helping to beautify the town before the first Cruise Liner of the season arrives, people will be encouraged to make a donation into the empty paint tins and all of this money will be divided equally between the Public Funding for Whitepoint Playground and Skatepark Committee and the Cobh Community Hospital Fund. Let’s see what the community working together can achieve over two days and raise funds at the same time. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Further details from Ursula Duffy, Cobh Tidy Towns Committee Tel. 085 1668271.
