Christmas is here again and the staff at Fota House are busy putting up and decorating Christmas trees for its annual Carol Concerts. A firm favourite Christmas event for the last ten years, demand for tickets is extremely heavy.

The Concerts will be held on Sunday 6th and Tuesday 8th December at 8 pm.

This year’s Concerts will be given again by the “The Carrigaline Choral Group”, who are now synonymous with Fota House and was formed at the beginning of September 2009 as a mixed choir of over forty singers. They have now won five top awards at Choral Festivals in Waterford, Wicklow and the International Choral Festival in Cork. The Choir have just returned from a trip to Bochum in Germany where they sang to an audience of 1,700 people.
Their Musical Director, Aonghus Joyce, has a Master’s Degree from the Cork School of Music.

The Choir will be accompanied by Anne Ralph. Their secretary Mary Malone looks forward to entertaining Christmas audiences with a traditional programme of much loved Carols.

The Choir will be supported by special guests Dan Twomey, Tenor soloist, as seen on RTE’s “The Voice” and by classical guitarist Colin McLean. As in former years, complimentary Wine and Mince pies will be served at the Interval.
