Web and mobile apps developer, Loco Software, to create 10 new jobs in Cobh
Loco Software Ltd is to create 10 new jobs in Cobh, Co.Cork over the next three years after receiving funding from South Cork Enterprise Board to support its expansion into mobile applications development.
Loco Software is a specialist developer of data-driven web applications utilising Cold Fusion technology.It has a long-term contract with the Financial Times Ltd to develop their fDi Intelligence suite of applications, which are used by over 150 government agencies and international organisations worldwide.
In 2012, Loco Software has secured contracts with Invest Northern Ireland and UK Trade & Investments to develop mobile applications designed to promote inward investment and export development.
Robert Pasley, Managing Director of Loco Software said “Both our local Bank of Ireland and South Cork Enterprise Board were very supportive of our business plan to move into mobile apps development, and the funding we have secured allows us to kick start our expansion”. The new jobs will be primarily in sales and software development roles. Robert added “we have immediately advertised for a Business Development Manager, a position we intend to fill within a few weeks and new software developers will be recruited early in the New Year.”
With the current growth in the Smartphone and tablet market, Loco Software aims to utilise the mobile application platforms it has developed to provide government agencies worldwide with a new channel for investment promotion and export development.
