Springfield Ramblers won 4-2 on penalties
In a very hard fought game Springfield Ramblers edged out a win in a penalty shoot out. The hero of the shoot out was Cathal O’Hanlon who not only saved two penalties but scored one as well. Others to impress in an excellent team performance were Adam Devlin, Gary Stack, Stephen Horgan, Dean Keating and Man of the Match James Stoate. With this win the team advance to the last 32 in Ireland. The quest to keep the Barry Cup in Cobh continues.

Wilton Utd 1 Springfield Ramblers 1
An excellent game of football by both sides with Springfield Ramblers scoring an early goal from a great passage of play. We were awarded a penalty moments later but unfortunately it went just wide of the post. Wilton then drew level into the 2nd half & each team fought hard for a winning goal but with some missed chances at one end & some great saves & decision making from Jamie Bates at the other kept the score line level. This game was end to end with a draw being a fair result. There were great displays from Tom Gill, Nathan O Connell, Brian Danaj & Evan Roche. The goal was scored by Ciaran Griffin.

Springfield Ramblers B v Macroom
Springfield Ramblers went down with a fight losing to a very strong and excellent Macroom team. Springfield Ramblers where down 3 nil at half time and where still in it but the home team got tired early in the second half. The home team where excellent and have grown into a good team as the season has progressed.
To cap another good performance by the improving home team Jamie Kelly was outstanding from start to finish and was selected as the man of the match.
Christmas Draw
The Springfield Ramblers annual Christmas draw takes place on Friday December 9th. Tickets/lines are now for sale. The club would ask that the public would support this important fundraiser for the club as generously as possible. There will be tickets on sale at Garvey’s Supervalu on Saturday December 3rd from 9am to 5pm and at Londis Newtown on Wednesday December 7th.
Training on Pitches
The Club wishes to advise all coaches that there is a complete ban on training on all pitches until further notice. There is also a ban on the playing of friendly matches on the pitches. If a coach wishes to book extra training on the Astroturf he/she should contact Cathal on 0868878421. Please give as much notice as possible to avoid disappointment and possible double bookings.
Condolences
The Springfield Ramblers Club extends its sincere sympathy to Eamonn Miskella and Family on the death of his Father.
