The *2014 Cobh St. Patrick’s Day Parade* will take place on Monday March 17th and promises to be another entertaining spectacle where the community comes out in force to celebrate all that is good about our town.

The theme of the parade is *”Four Seasons”* and the organisers See You in Cobh, Cobh Tourism and Cobh Tidy Towns are hoping that the participants embrace the theme by using colour and imagination and that the weather on the day resembles the summer of 2013!

The parade will start on the Low Road by Cobh Heritage Centre at 3.30 pmand continue past the reviewing stand at the Lusitania Peace Memorial.

Prior to the parade the Cobh Confraternity Band and maestro Alan Carney will entertain the crowds. trophy will be presented to the Best Overall Entry.

All walking entries should assemble on the Deep Water Quay which will have barriers along the water side. All vehicle entries will be lined up on the Low Road with access via the Whitepoint end ONLY. The Parade will end at the Old Town Hall and vehicles must continue along Harbour Row to avoid congestion.

Understandably to ensure the smooth running of the parade and in the interests of public safety there will be parking restrictions and road closures along the route and on adjoining roads.

Meanwhile a welcome boost to Cobh is on the way in the shape of the Tall Ship and Training Vessel of the German Navy GORCH FOCK, which will be at Cobh Cruise Terminal from March 13th to 29th, 2014. The crew will be happy to welcome the public for “open ship” events on Sunday, March 16th and Sunday, March 23rd, from 2 – 5 pm. All are welcome
