The Chamber in association with SECAD are currently in the process of setting up a business women’s networking group in the Cobh and Harbour area. The aim of the network is to provide information, tools, networking and learning opportunities, and advice to women who are starting out or want to grow their business. It will provide opportunities for members to build connections with other business women and aspiring entrepreneurs in their own area and throughout South and East Cork.
A steering committe has been formed comprising of Kathleen Geary CEO of the Chamber, Mary McCaffrey of Print Profile, Sally Donegan Solicitor, Ann Moroney of Moroney & Associates and Avril Quinn of PowWow People. The group is aimed at Business women everywhere whether you have a small outlet or a multinational chain! Research has shown that women approach being in business in a different way. Women have different motivations for going into business and different pressures in their personal lives. Members will be able to take part in training, mentoring and networking events designed specifically for Women. The first networking event will be starting soon. If you are interested in participating please ring Kathleen at 021 4813612 or email info@cobhharbourchamber.ie
