Artist Phillip Gray was unable to attend on the night but was quoted when he siad “I would like to be associated with Frank’s voluntary work, not alone with the Special Olympic movement but for the emormous voluntary work, over the years, within the town of Cobh, with the many different voluntary clubs and festivals down through the years”.
I would like to share these cherished moments with your readers and the people of Cobh and the Town Council whose kindness and generosity was evident in my fundraising efforts and is much appreciated.There was 188 volunteers whose ages ranged between 16 to 78 years. What an experienceit must have been for the two young volunteers in above photos
Other photos show Australian head coach, the Austrilian golfer and Caddy Frank O Brien, I am so please to say the my golfer was awarded a bronze medel at these games. There was also a meeting for Team Ireland 2011 in the Gresham Hotel in Dublin last week end, at this meeting we were told that Team Ireland 2011 volunteers fundraising efforts amounted to six houndred and forthy thousand euro prior to these games. We were also informed that J.P. McManus will kindly donated €1.5m each year, for the next three years.
