Springfield Ramblers A (3) v Watergrasshill United (1)
Springers started this game at a very high tempo and created all the chances. They dominated the game throughout the park and none more so than Edward O Mathuna who again gave a rock solid display at the back.Watergrasshill got a free kick outside the box and with the wind behind them gave Adam Stanton in goal no chance, Springers were one down against the run of play but to their credit kept taking the game to the visitors. They got their rewards through some excellant goals from Brian Danaj, Emmanual O Neal and Keelan Ryan. All the team today deserve great praise for the way they kept going and none more than Edward O Mathuna who gave another man of the match display. Credit must go to the players from the U12s David Sloan, Fionn Duggan, Howard Murphy, Dean O Leary who all played their paet in this victory.
Umbro 13 Division 5
Springfield Ramblers B (1) v St. Mary’s A (1)
Final game of the season was played at home to St Mary’s. A full squad of players turned out with everyone eager to finish the season on a high. The entire squad had a great run out with the game finishing at 1-1. A great crowd turned out to support the lads and were able to see first hand the great progress made during the season. The coaches would like to thank all the players for their commitment to training and matches throughout the season and look forward to seeing further improvements next season. Also thanks to all for the great support from family and friends today and at every game this year.
