Business owners learn how to get Social at September Catalyst Cobh event

More than 30 businesses were represented at the Catalyst Cobh social media class with guest speaker Greg Canty of Fuzion Communications at the Commodore Hotel on Wednesday 10th September.
Catalyst Cobh is a networking group for women in business. The voluntary group holds 6 events per year and is now in its fourth year.
Greg is a partner with Fuzion Communications, an award winning PR firm, with offices in Cork and Dublin. He shared some of his top tips on social media for business and urged those present to become familiar with the largest platforms Facebook, twitter and LinkedIn first. He also encouraged all the attendees to post information frequently and ensure that is in keeping with the values of the company and of interest to the audience.
Group members Ashley Marie Hogan of Project 10 Challenge Cork, Fionnghuala Smith of Cobh Pastimes photography and Ruth Kidney of Individuals each took to the stage to for a 2 minute soap box that allowed them to promote their business to all attendees.
Catalyst Cobh also unveiled their new website and logo on the night. The new website will allow members to share details of upcoming events, share news and offers and provide business tips on the website’s blog at www.catalystcobh.com
