UCC are continuously seeking opportunities to create mental health awareness and train students in key aspects of mental health.
On this basis, Breaking The Silence recently trained a number of UCC Students in the Safe Talk Suicide Intervention Workshop. Feedback from UCC’s Student Welfare Officer Cian Power was very positive “The workshop was amazing, very engaging. I felt very educated after doing this”. Cian will now work with Breaking The Silence to organise future student training as he fully believes in the importance of training in the area of mental health.
We encourage anybody from any walk of life to complete this life saving training. It is free of charge and our Trainers ensure that a comfortable and safe learning environment is created for participants.
