The annual awards ceremony was held in the Commodore Hotel on Thursday 12th. May. Guest speaker was Ciara Leonardi Roche former pupil and candidate in the recent elections. Ciara outlined her experience in the community college and spoke highly of the staff in their encouragement and support during her time in second level education.
This was followed by her words of support to the students to encourage them to go forward with conviction and confidence. Awards were presented under the following categories: Academic awards, individual class award, subject award, sports, attendance, UCC+, Robotics, Performing Arts, School bank, TY group activities, Community award, Deputy Principal award and Principal’s award. Student of the year was Lauren McKay who has contributed greatly to the ethos and spirit of our college.
