Trigon Hotels hosted the Safe Talk Suicide Prevention Workshop in association with National Workplace Wellbeing Day on the 12th April with attendees from all leadership teams across their three Cork hotels (The Metropole Hotel, Cork International Hotel & Cork Airport Hotel). The hotel group also invited their peers from across the industry with attendees from hotels including The Carrigaline Court Hotel, Hayfield Manor, Fota Island, The Celtic Ross Hotel and Cornstore Restaurant along with representatives from the Restaurant Association of Ireland. Trigon Hotels Managing Director Aaron Mansworth spoke about the importance of mental health in today’s workplace and that this workshop was a critically important investment of each participants time for both their professional and personal lives.
The Safe Talk Workshop was delivered by voluntary group Breaking The Silence. Group Trainer John Lawlor walked participants through the key areas of suicide first aid and how to help people at risk.
