On Monday 10th May, the Agri Aware Mobile Farm visited St. Mary’s N.S.
Agri Aware is a charitable trust, set up in 1996, to raise awareness of agriculture and improve the image and understanding of agriculture, farming and the food industry through curriculum linked resources in Ireland.
The mobile farm visit to St. Mary’s was a very exciting and educational experience for all pupils in the school. Children from the Junior Infant classes right up to 6th class were introduced to the animals by Claire Stack (Munster Mobile Farm owner and director). Pupils got to hold the animals, feed them and learn about their role on the farm. The mobile farm uses a large selection of animals that are rotated and well rested between visits. Pictured at the farm are Senior Infants, Room 5.
