On the 19th of June Ballymore Cycling Club will be hosting its primer event in the cycling calendar “The Leahy Cup”. Cycling is enjoying strong growth over the past two years and this is great opportunity to see riders from under 12 up to Munster’s elite senior riders fresh from competing in the An Post RAS.
The event will take place in and around the roads of Ballymore, the Valley Road, Carty’s Junction, Tay Road and Cuskinny. The racing will begin with the under 12’s at 11.45 and will run until around 16.30 with the finish of the Senior 1 race. Your cooperation with the marshals on the day is greatly appreciated and we would hope to keep any delays to a minimum, the safety of riders and other road users is our priority and with your support we can ensure that a great days racing can is enjoyed by all.
Ballymore Cycling Club has a long and proud tradition in Irish cycling that has seen riders compete at the highest levels in Ireland and France. I would also like to take this opportunity to invite anyone interested in cycling at all levels to come join us, if you are a beginner or a seasoned racer we would love to hear from you on 0868581863 or why not check us out on face book. For the summer month we will have group spin leaving from the cross river ferry each Wednesday evening at 18.30 to suit all levels.
