fotahouse111Christmas is here again and the staff at Fota House are busy putting up and decorating Christmas trees for its annual Carol Concert. A firm favourite Christmas event for the last nine years, demand for tickets is extremely heavy. The Concert will be held on Sunday 8th of December at 8 pm.

This year’s Concert will be given again by the “The Carrigaline Choral Group”, who are now synonymous with Fota House and was formed at the beginning of September 2009 as a mixed choir of over forty singers. They have now won five top awards at Choral Festivals in Waterford, Wicklow and Cork.

Their Musical Director, Colm O’Regan, has been with the choir for the last four years. The Choir and their secretary Mary Malone look forward to entertaining Christmas audiences with a traditional programme of much loved Carols.

The Choir will be supported by special guests Dan Twomey, Tenor soloist, as seen on RTE’s “The Voice” and also by Voce Nuove, an award winning internationally acclaimed chamber choir who won first prize at the City of Derry international Choral Festival.

As in former years, complimentary Wine and Mince pies will be served at the Interval.
