Catalyst Cobh Kick Start 2014 with Financial Check Up for Members and Businesses

Catalyst Cobh, a networking group for women in business in the East Cork Area, held its first event of 2014 at The Commodore Hotel on Wednesday, 12thFebruary. Despite the inclement weather members from more than 30 businesses in the Cobh and Cork harbour area o meet, discuss and learn from each other’s experiences.
Guest speakers included Patrick O’Connor of Barrett O’Connor & Co. hartered Accounts, Gillian Mangan of Bank of Ireland and Margo of Coral Leisure Cobh. An impressive display of products and services were showcased by Epi-Rays Laser Clinic, Beauty Chambers, The Robin Hill Clinic and Bank of Ireland
Patrick will delivered a very informative presentation on Smart Tips for Finance Control covering topics such as Tax Relief, Dealing with Revenue and Funding Option. Following the presentation members were able to ask Patrick specific questions on tax and accounting matters related to their own businesses.
Gillian Mangan of Bank of Ireland Cobh delivered a detailed presentation on the introduction of the SEPA, the Single European Payment Area and the impact for business and individuals. Presentations from the evening are available to all members.
The final speaker on the night is Margo Krempska-Saluda of Coral Leisure Centre Cobh. Margo’s interactive presentation provide the group with fitness and muscle tension relief tips that can easily be done at a desk or while travelling. Members Anna Strzelecka, Mary Halligan and Kathleen Geary joined Margo for a Zumba demonstration
Catalyst Cobh hosts a minimum of 6 events each year including training and workshops, exhibitions and social events.
