Cobh under 14s made it two wins on the trot with a comfortable win away to Valley Rovers Wednesday night in the Under 14 county league. On a magnificent night for a game of camogie, once the initial sussing out process was over we dominated the first half . However we were finding scores hard to come by but we were lucky Shannid Mc Grath continued her rich goal scoring form and she bagged a brace of goals aided by two points by Aoife O’ Connor which put us seven points up at half time. On the resumption we continued our dominance and once more Shannid found the net twice more which put us into a commanding position.
We followed this up with a magnificent long range point by Aisling Bardsley with another major and minor by Aoife O Connor leading to a final score of Cobh 5-4, Valley Rovers 1-1. On what was essentially an excellent team performance from one to eighteen, others to play well on the night as well as the aforementioned scorers were Captain Dannile Hayes and Toni Butler in defence, Jennifer Mc Carthy in midfield and Orla Damery in attack.
Continued success to our players Tara Looney and Chloe Cashman as they continue to line out with the 6th class Cork team.
