Cobh Credit Union Celebrate 50 Years

Cobh Credit Union celebrated 50 years in service recently with a special mass held in St. Colmans Cathedral followed by an award ceremony held in the parish centre.
Manager of the Credit Union Michael Carlin gave an introductory speech welcoming everyone to the centre and gave a brief history of Cobh Credit Union.
Cllr John Mulvilhill, Cobh Town Mayor welcomed everyone to the centre and thanked them for their attendance. He congratulated Michael Carlin and his team for the excellent service they give to the people of Cobh. He added that “the Cobh Credit Union is a great Financial Institution.”
After the speeches Chairman Colman Rasmussen announced financial donations for St. Mary’s National School, St. Josephs, Rushbrooke N.S, Walterstown and An Gaelscoil, Cobh totalling €60,000. A donation of €2,000 was also made to the Organ Restoration fund for St. Colman’s Cathedral, by Helen Devlin who is the longest serving member of staff in Cobh.
