The rules of the blitz are on the team forms and should be read by all players and managers prior to the event. The forms should be completed in full and returned to Cobh Garda Station no later than the 16th July.
PLEASE NOTE THE AGE LIMITS FOR THE BLITZ AND THAT PLAYERS MAYBE ASKED TO PROVIDE PROOF OF AGE. THESE AGE LIMITS WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO AND ANY TEAM FOUND FIELDING AN OVERAGE PLAYER MAY FORFEIT THE POINTS. MANAGERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ELIGIBILITY OF THEIR PLAYERS. THE COMMITTEE’S DECISION IS FINAL ON ALL MATTERS.
The Blitz is open to both boys and girls. Individuals who do not have a team should turn up on the day and they will be allocated a team.
Players should bring the appropriate footwear for astro turf and also have proper clothing in the event of poor weather conditions. I would encourage as many of the parents as possible to attend over the weekend and support the children. The Blitz is FREE and medals will be awarded to all participating children in the U8, U10 and U12 age groups. Medals in the remaining age groups will only be awarded to the winners and runner up’s. As in previous years some local Soccer Stars will be on hand to present medals and trophies. A trophy will also be awarded to the best player of each age group and finally FREE Refreshments will be provided over the weekend.
Could last year’s winning captains please return the trophies to Cobh Garda Station before the 16th July.
