Cobh Golf Club holds Open competitions on every Monday and Friday (Ladies and Gents) in April

Jack Doyle Boxing Club Training Schedule – Monday 6.00pm to 8.00pm. Wednesday 7.00pm – 9.00pm. Friday 6.00pm – 8.00pm in the Convent for boxers aged 11 upwards. For our underage boxers, aged between 6 to 11, training is on at the Community Centre every Wednesday from 4.00pm – 6.00pm

Spike Island Tours to resume.-
Having been granted a licence from Cork County Council, Michael Martin’s fabulously interesting Spike Island tours are set to resume in April. Select the original tour created by Michael, author of ‘Spike Island, saints felons and famine’ and the lead campaigner for 9 years to have the Island opened to the public. – Commemoration of the sinking of the Titanic. The 99th anniversary of the sinking will be commemorated in Cobh on Sunday 10th April 2011. The ceremonies of prayers, hymns and the laying of wreaths will commence at 3 pm at the Titanic Memorial in Pearse Square. An Audience with Alan Carney Commodore Hotel 8pm 30th April. There will be tea and coffee courtesy of our Parents Association on the day. We will have some Irish dancing, a Local History presentation, an opportunity to see the children in their classes and some other bits and pieces as well.
