Just one game last weekend when Div 6 played host to a young Fermoy team. It was the home team who had most of the play and this pressure paid off when Laura Forrest’s shot from a short corner was saved but the rebound came to Kate Morgan who sent a fine shot to the net. Cobh kept the pressure up with Chelsea Crone making a great run and sending in a cross for Claire Stack to touch on and deflect off a defender into the goal. The second half saw Sonia Brady and Elaine Moynihan have some fine runs and midway through the half Claire Stack made it 3-0 when a move involving Chelsea and Sarah Crone saw her beat the advancing goalie. Cobh had several more chances to score and Fermoy tried valiantly to get a goal but the game ended with a fine 3-0 win to Cobh.
