At Cobh Museum’s Open Day on 19th July we ran a competition to find the perfect name for our horse that stands outside the museum. Jack Murphy (aged 8) selected the name HERO and we think that it is a perfect name, reminding us all that every horse involved in World War I was indeed a hero! Congratulations and well done to Jack and to his young brother Conor, who helped him.
