The Club would like to wish Davin Whelan; Ryan Dillane, Brion McCarthy, Brian Ronayne, David Hally, Cian McNamara, Kieran Mulligan and Richard Desmond the very best of luck on their selection for Munster Rugby Cadet Trials. The Munster Cadets Programme is a series of trials and training sessions over a 3 year period, that identify players from the province for the Munster Youth Teams ( u18/19 ). Our latest entries are all on our u15 team ( born 1997) and start the process with training sessions over the next 8 weeks under the Munster Rugby Development Office for the East Cork region. The training squad will be reviewed in the New Year and the final training panel will be selected towards the end of the season for South Munster. The successful players will then undertake a dedicated strength & condition programme, skill development and bi-monthly provincial training sessions under the watchful eye of the Munster coaches.
We have 3 players on the ’96 cadets, Stephen Hickey, Anthony Devlin-Buckley and Shane Cullimore; and we wish them continued success over the season.
