Cobh Tidy Town Notes

Published

on

On a grey Saturday ten Cobh Tidy Towns volunteers were out helping to make the approaches to Cobh look well. Two volunteers cleaned the Fota Road of litter once again. Apart from soft drink containers and other food litter it is a little unnerving to be picking up beer cans and vodka bottles on a regular basis from this road!

The other volunteers swept the footpaths from Westbourne Place to Leonard’s Logde on the High Road.

Throughout the week work commenced on repainting the seats around the town, a laneway at the top of East Hill was transformed and most of the ear

Behind the scenes the Tidy Towns committee has a number of large scale projects in the pipeline that will really make a difference in many areas of the town.

Volunteers meet every Saturday at the playground on the Five Foot Way and every Monday at 12 noon at the Crow’s Nest in Rushbrooke Links.

Everyone is welcome to come along.
