The 2022 edition of the Discovering Cobh & Great Island Calendar is now on sale.
Cobh Tidy Towns first printed a fundraising calendar in 2011 and this 12th edition has another fourteen stunning photographs of Cobh and its hinterland throughout the seasons.
Since its inception, the photographs featured are taken by members of the public and this year an incredible 176 photographs were submitted for consideration. “This makes the calendar a real community effort”’ said Hendrick Verwey, chairperson of Cobh Tidy Towns at the recent launch at Cobh’s Commodore Hotel.
“You will agree when you pick up a copy, that the 2022 calendar is stunning. 2022 will allow many more people an opportunity to visit Cobh again but in the meantime why not enjoy our calendar and the 14 beautiful photographs of Cobh and Great Island?”
The proceeds from the sale of the calendar supports the work of Cobh Tidy Towns volunteers to keep Cobh beautiful and to continue the town’s journey towards the top echelons of the National Tidy Towns competition. Cobh is currently ranked in the Top 30 of over 800 entries from the villages, towns and cities throughout Ireland. The 2022 Tidy Towns results will be announced in November this year.
Whether you are a former resident of Cobh, a visitor who fell in love with the town or someone lucky enough to live in Cobh or close by, this beautiful calendar will adorn your wall throughout 2022. Calendars can be purchased in many of Cobh’s shops, from Cobh Tidy Towns volunteers or you can secure your copy now and have it posted to anywhere in the world on www.cobhtidytowns.com.
