Josh Kenny is a 4th year Creative Digital Media Student whose main interests are filmmaking and photography and who’s work is greatly influenced by his passions. For his FYP, he wanted to look at how Covid-19 has impacted our mental health and in doing so created a 6 part podcast speaking with experts and doctors from all around the globe.
‘People Do Bad Things’ is all about when a man on the verge of suicide gets his house robbed, an unlikely bond between him and the thief changes his perspective on life.
The short film, written and directed by Josh Kenny, features a big Cobh connection with the film with the main charachter being Jim Robinson and also features Mark Kenny. Director of Photography, David Marshall, Sound & Lighting Emmet Ahern and Colourist, Anthony Madden, all hail from Cobh and of course it was filmed on location in Ballynoe, Cobh.
The film premiers at the Gate Cinema on Monday 20th September.
