To celebrate The Gathering 2013 Cork Harbour Islands Project (C.H.I.P.) will be holding our 2013 Exhibition on “The Scattering – Cobh People Abroad” . The Exhibition will be a celebration of all Cobhites who have left our town to settle abroad and will be based on the years 1900 to present day (if anyone has any details on family members prior to this we will be delighted also to have it)
We are looking for any photographs of your family members who have emigrated detailing where they lived in Cobh, what country they emigrated to (and mode of transport) and the year they emigrated. Any old letters, stories etc you might have would be greatly appreciated. All memorabilia will be copied and returned safely. The Exhibition will be held in September and you can contact any Committee member ; John Hennessy (4814202), Claire Stack (4813113/086 8590681), Marita Foster (086 0667529), Dolores Coakley (086 3773126), Mary McCormack (087 6785949) , Dave Verling, Madge Webster or Denis McGrath.
