Fota House presents “Music of the Night” with Ryan Morgan

On Friday, 29  January, acclaimed tenor Ryan Morgan will be making a return visit to Fota House and singing a selection of songs including classical, musical theatre and art songs.   These will include pieces by Handel, Vaughn Williams, Puccini, Elgar, Lloyd Webber, Rodgers & Hammerstein and Di Capua.

Ryan will be accompanied by well known pianist Bebhinn ni Mheara and supported by guest musician, violinist David McElroy.

Ryan is a tenor originally from Merthyr Tydfil in South Wales but now based in Cobh.  His teachers are the acclaimed Robert Alderson and Bobby Beare.

Ryan has sung with Cork Opera 2005, Dowlais Male Voice Choir, the Greenwich University Musical Society, and Cobh Cathedral Choir.  He has sung at numerous prestigious local venues including Fota House, Ballymaloe, the Sirius Arts Centre and the Mall Theatre, Youghal.  Recently he sang with the Brass Band of An Garda Siochana in Bandon and as a tenor soloist for Handel’s Messiah in Killeagh.

For all music lovers, this is an evening not to be missed and as is customary at Fota House, a complimentary glass of wine or soft drinks will be served at the interval.
