Chocolate Replica of Fota Island Resort with its creator Rachid Zaouia recently
The Executie Pastry Chef at Fota Island Resort, Rachid Zaouia has created a Chocolate replica of Fota Island Resort. Rachids work is on display in the reception area of the resort.
Rachid creates something spectacular every year for Easter and this year is no exception. The chocolate replica took Rachid two days to create getting his inspiration from a TV show called ‘Ace of Cakes’. Rachid talked about how he would like to follow in the footsteps of the baker in the show who’d made a cake with a rollercoaster runniing through it. This was his foundation for making the replica with a train.
A competition is also being run to guess the weight of the piece with a chocolate Hamper made up by Rachid as a prize with all monies going towards CUH neo Natal Department.
