Cobh Ramblers FC are pleased to announce that defender Ben O’Riordan has re-signed for the club ahead of the 2020 season. This will be his 5th season of senior football for Cobh, having first joined our U19 side from Leeside in 2015. He then stepped up to the Ramblers first team in 2016, making his debut in a 2-1 FAI Cup win over Cherry Orchard. He has played a key role in every season since, culminating in 98 first team appearances to date.

We can also confirm that versatile midfielder Cameron Harlson has signed his first senior contract with the club. Harlson originally signed for Damien Rowe’s U17 set-up in 2017 from Ringmahon Rangers and he stepped up to U19 football in 2018. His senior debut came at home to Bray Wanderers in 2019 and he went on to make 13 first team outings. He was also named the club’s Young Player of the Year in 2019.

He had this to say about the announcement,

“I’m really excited to sign for the senior side. I was introduced to the set-up halfway through last season and I was involved in a lot of big games. The 1-0 win over Shelbourne in Colman’s Park really stands out. Next season is all about improving and pushing as hard as we can for the play-off spots. With the work our coaching staff put in and the belief they have in us I have high expectations for the season ahead.”
