~ New harbour tours from Cork City, Cobh and Crosshaven announced
~ Limited 2 for 1 offer for the month of May! ~
Cork’s only dedicated boat bus connecting Cobh with Cork City by water, has launched its 2019 Summer schedule, announcing two brand new tours of Cork Harbour. The 72-seater Ocean Escapes tour boat, which launched just last year, operates guided tours of the harbour from Cobh to Cork City and Cork to Cobh, with a return by rail option from Wednesday through Sunday .
Building on the success of its first year in operation, which saw the company nominated as Cork Business Association ‘Business of the Year’, Ocean Escapes is now launching a romantic ‘Sunset Cruise’ of Cork Harbour and a thrilling ‘Follow the Cruise Liner’ tour.
Departing from Cobh and crosshaven the innovative new ‘Follow the Cruise Liner’ tour offers members of the public the unique opportunity to get up close on the water with some of the world’s largest cruise liners and follow their journey as they depart Cork harbour, tracing the first stages of the passengers that joined the Titanic on it’s fated journey , passing Spike Island and Roches Point.
In addition, (possibly) the most romantic trip in Cork harbour, the Ocean Escapes ‘Sunset Cruises’ will become a regular feature on the tour boat’s summer schedule this year. Departing from either Cork City or Crosshaven, guests are invited to hop on board the Cailin Oir and chase the setting sun as the tour boat journeys west from Crosshaven toward Cork City. Or soak up the splendour of the sea and sky as they magically change colour at dusk, as you travel out from Cork City past Pairc Ui Chaoimh and Blackrock Castle from the city marina. All you have to do is turn up and bring your camera. Ocean Escapes will provide the music and the scenery!
Other sea tours available with Ocean Escapes include excursions from Crosshaven to Ireland’s Alcatraza, Spike Island and private tours and party cruises of Cork harbour. Owner/director of Ocean Escapes, Andrew O’Riordan, who featured on RTE’s Nationwide last year telling the story of his remarkable recovery from cancer to establish the business, said he is delighted to launch the new summer schedule and announce the new tours. To celebrate the launch of the 2019 season, Ocean Escapes is offering a limited 2 for 1 offer on all for the month of May.
Ocean Escapes is perfectly positioned to attract those looking for the Ireland’s Ancient East and Pure Cork maritime haven experiences. Its aim is to create memories that passengers never forget, whether it’s a fun tour of the Harbour, a unique corporate day out, or a whiskey tasting trail along the many villages of Cork harbour.
