I have just been to one of the most powerful, inspirational plays that I have ever seen. ‘Silent’, written and performed by Cobh’s own Pat Kinevane is a remarkable thought-provoking production that manages to confront some of the most difficult and heart-wrenching topics of our society, while doing so in a heartfelt, funny and entertaining way. Kinevane will bring you through laughter, shame, and entertaining layers of the topics of suicide, bereavement, alcoholism and dependency in a way and a style that you have never experienced before.
The local ‘Breaking the Silence’ group with their tremendous efforts to raise awareness about this subject really need us all to go to this play to support them, to understand the issues involved and to regale an artist of international pedigree who has given his time for his town. GO to the Commodore Friday at 8pm, you will not be disappointed !!
