Fota House is delighted to welcome the return of Welsh Tenor, Ryan Morgan on Friday, 20th February at 8.00 pm. With a programme of favourites, ranging from Opera to Broadway and beyond, this promises to be a sumptuous evening of song. Ryan will be accompanied by pianist, Alan Carney, who is well known to Cork audiences having conducted the Carrigaline Singers and Commodore Choir and is resident organist at the Honan Chapel, UCC.
Ryan is a Welsh lyric tenor, now based in Ireland. Having originally completed a Ph.D in law and a career as a law lecturer, Ryan became a professional singer in 2008. He has sung at a number of high profile venues including the National Concert Hall, Dublin Castle, Cork City Hall, Kilruddery House and Dromoland Castle to name but a few. He has performed for Ministers of State, Ambassadors, the inaugural voyages of Cruise Ships and a variety of Arts Festivals. He is currently completing a Master’s in Music Degree in the Conservatory of Music and Drama, CIT, under Stephen Wallace.
In 2014 he had a role in the award winning and 5-star reviewed “Der Vampyr” at the Everyman Palace Theatre and appeared as the Principal, Danilo, in “The Merry Widow” at the National Concert Hall. He has also been a guest entertainer for Saga Cruises.
As is usual at Fota House, a complimentary glass of wine or soft drink will be served at the interval.
