Long time reader, first time poster. I have a question I would like to put out there, seeing as today is the first day we have had some real sun perhaps there is somebody who can answer this question. Living in an estate in Cobh and our back garden is below our adjoining neighbour’s back garden. Said neighbour has Leylandii trees growing and they are blocking the sunlight from our garden.
(Q1) Is there a local law that prohibits this?
(Q2) If I were to cut them down myself could I be prosecuted? They do overhang our garden by a fair margin as well……
This question can be answered on our Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/cobhedition
