The Popscene Christmas Cruises will take place on three Fridays across November and December on Cork Harbour.
This will offer Leesiders a festive night out with a difference – but you’ll have to be quick off the mark to secure tickets as they’re expected to sell out fast.
The event will see Cork Harbour Cruises’ fully weatherproof vessel set sail on a 2.5 hour cruise with the biggest 80’s and 90’s classics providing the soundtrack to this unique Christmas party.
Party goers can dance the night away with a full bar on board, and resident Popscene DJ’s on the decks playing all the best throwback hits.
The cruise departs with boarding from 6pm from Customs House Quay and departing at 6:30pm sharp.
Tickets are €65 for this event and will be sold through Eventbrite. They are extremely limited and early booking is advised to secure your spots.
Eventbrite link to purchase tickets is : https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/popscene-christmas-cruises-2781159
Larger group or corporate bookings are advised to book directly through xmas@popscene.ie
Attendees will have a complimentary post-cruise transfer to Popscene – Cork’s only dedicated throwback bar – to continue the nostalgic theme late into the night.
Upon arrival to Popscene guests will receive:
- Complimentary entry to Popscene / Voodoo
- Two complimentary drinks
- Complimentary finger food
Beginning on November 17th, sailings will also run on November 24th and December 1st, with this event strictly over 23’s.
Speaking before the “Popscene Christmas Cruise” official launch, Popscene director Stephen Forde said:
“This is a very new departure for us but we’re very excited about it. Since reopening our doors last year, the response has been phenomenal and we have been thinking about how we can continue to improve our customer experience and offer people something different. Christmas party season is consistently one of our busiest periods, but we were keen to “push the boat out” and come up with a more unique offering.
We’d like to express our thanks to Trish in Cork Harbour Cruises for accommodating us and we’re really looking forward to working together to provide a very special and uniquely Cork Christmas party experience.
“We’re very excited for the Popscene Christmas Cruise this year and we hope to see some old and new faces on the cruise, “ Mr Forde added.
Popscene is an 80’s and 90’s throwback bar open every Friday and Saturday night ‘til late.
Located at Voodoo Rooms on Oliver Plunkett St, Popscene is kitted out with themed décor including giant Rubik’s Cubes that double up as tables, novelty photo booths and a karaoke booth making it the ideal location for special occasions such as birthdays, hen parties and groups of all sizes.
