Rushbrooke will host two international events from 30th July- 5th August with the Boys and Girls UN14 European Tennis Association and the UN18International Tennis Federation running side by side playing for ranking points in each section.
These two events bring an outstanding standard of tennis to Rushbrooke that all sports enthusiasts should come along and see. It is a fantastic opportunity for the people of Cobh, Cork and surrounding areas to witness the up and coming players of the European and World stage. Each year these events attract players from Ireland, England, Italy, Spain Germany, Poland, Portugal, Russia, USA and many more besides so it’s a real International occasion during this week.
Each year entries to these events far out way the actual amount of positions available and even the spots to get into the qualifying section to try and get into the main events are allocated on a players ranking position. It really is great to welcome these players to our club and we also have the best of the local Irish talent in the mix ready to test their skills against visitors already established on the junior tours.
All of the above events are free of charge for spectators and people are most welcome to come along throughout the events and experience the atmosphere in the splendid setting that Rushbrooke Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club provides.
