Our annual book fair was held from the 20th – 23rd May and was a great success once again. Organised by Mrs. O Connell, it gave a chance to parents and pupils to buy books for the appropriate age groups. Our theme this year was ‘Cartoons’ and classes did some fantastic project work and displays based on various different aspects of cartoons. An overall thanks to the teaching and SNA staff for all their cooperation. A special thanks to Mrs. Lucey, Mr. O’Driscoll & Ms. Scriven for their support, shopping and labels etc.! Thanks also to the following parents who gave their time to help out during the week –Karen Doyle, Eileen O’Regan, Sharon Furmedge, Kathleen Stanton, Joan Devlin-Buckley, Antoinette Gilmartin, Cynthia Devlin, Caroline Griffin, Raylene O’Halloran, Madalena Barrillot, Irene Sheehan, Assumpta Spaney, Marie Walsh, Debbie Ford, Margaret Barrett, Olive O’Donovan, Jillian McCrossan-Donnachie, Rehana Khan Moss, Claire Morey, Joy Mackey, Angela Walker, Mary Maher, Siobhan McCarthy, Johanne Tighe, Gwen Le Bervet-Bardsley & Yvonne Kelly – your help is always appreciated.
The total amount spent on books during the week was a staggering €4,214.95 and as the school is entitled to a 60% commission we received €2,528.97 amount of free books! These will be put to great use to further reading both in and outside school.
Thanks to all
