SECAD is delighted to deliver the highly successful programme Time to Change in Cobh again this September.
Time to Change is an uplifting and proactive programme designed for those who are currently job seeking and in need of support in moving forward in a positive way and for people who have cared for children or other individuals and now want to explore options to determine what their next steps should be.
The programme focuses on supporting participants with information and advice about looking for a new job, setting up a business / self-employment or perhaps pursuing a training course or further education.
The nine week programme which, is funded by SECAD through the Local Community Development Programme (LCDP), is free to participants. The programme focuses on the following: self-esteem and personal strengths, self-confidence and encouragement, setting goals and creating plans for the future and managing change.
To complement these sessions, SECAD has introduced innovative workshops that provide practical assistance to participants to develop their CV writing and Interview preparation skills which includes mock interviews and support to write an updated, well-structured CV. Participants will also develop knowledge on the variety of supports available to return to education, training & employment and develop skills in using the internet to assist in job seeking & career direction efforts.
The Time to Change Opportunities Morning takes place on Tuesday 16th September in the Cobh Community Centre beginning at 10am. This is a great opportunity to find out what the course is all about from the trainer and the Spring 2014 participants who will speak about how effective Time to Change is in terms of developing momentum for positive change in your life.
To reserve your place or to find our more information please contact SECAD on 021 4613432 or email info@secad.ie
