Minister Sean Sherlock has welcomed the purchase of the “Ballast Quay” in Cobh by Cork County council and if re-elected will engage with all stakeholders to maximise the potential of this site.
“I believe this site on the east end of the main street in Cobh has huge potential and could be developed as a second complimentary Cruise liner berth together with much needed additional car parking space. It would be an ideal departure location for boat trips to Spike Island. I believe this will give added life to the retail outlets on this end of the town and encourage footfall along the entire waterfront of the Town”.
