Springfield Ramblers 0 vs 2 Ringmahon Rangers
Best on the day Joe, Adam L , Colin and Cormac
Under 13 Division 1
Temple United 4 – 2 Springfield Ramblers
In a game of two halves where we honestly should have been four of five up at the break if we took our chances, we went in 2-1 up after conceding a sloppy goal. second half very disappointing. Best on the day Tom Noonan, Tom Ring and Eoghan Kidney. Thanks to travelling support as always.
Under 13 Division 5
Springfield Ramblers A 3 – 0 Blarney United B
Under 15 Division 1
Springfield Ramblers 2 St Marys 3
Closely contested tough match that Cobh lead twice in the match through goals from Luke Quinn & Sam Noonan. A cruel late winner by the visitors grabbed the points on a day when a win was more important than a draw. Still the players’ performance continues to improve. Best displays : Sean Damery Oisin Cronin & Killian Hackett
Under 12 Premier
Riverstown 1-3 Springfield Ramblers
Springfield had a rocky start and things looked poorly when after 10mins Riverstown got in to score early. To Springfield Ramblers great credit, they did not panic but settled down and started to play some great football. In the next ten mins Springfield took charge and scored from a Harry Ellis corner kick deflected in by Jake Ryan. This gave them great confidence and they kept attacking. Harry Ellis passed the ball to Alex Lynch who expertly lobbed the keeper from outside the box. Jake Ryan rolled up with a third from a great run at the keeper. The Second half saw Riverstown try to rally but in fairness SpringRams had them well covered. A fantastic display from every player in a very physical battle. MOTM could be given to a lot of players but this week to Alex Lynch for his effort and class goal.
Under 14 Premier
Springfield Ramblers 3-0 Riverstown
A good performance from the lads who dominated from start to finish. It took 30 mins before we could unlock a very defensive Riverstown. It came from a superb strike from Nathan o Connell. Goals from Evan o leary and Dara o Connell gave Springfield 3 points. Best on day, Mikey Foley and Diarmuid Kearney.
